WHAT IS CCTV MONITORING?

CCTV stands for Closed Circuit Television. A CCTV monitoring system is a system used to transmit live feed directly to the display monitors in a closed circuit;

• The internet connection routes the images from the CCTV cameras on the site, over to the display monitors located in an external remote monitoring station.
• The software that is used with the cameras monitors activity on the installation site. As soon as the alarm is activated at the location, the incident is routed to the screen of a security professional in the monitoring station.
• All activity is manually monitored by operators. These operators can move and zoom in through the cameras, switch to different cameras for a better view and rerun recently recorded footage.
